If there's one thing i'll walk away from Novemeber 4th, 2008 with, it's that homophobia is more powerful than racism.
EDIT:
I have to check myself; there's really no comparison between various bigotries. Let's just say i'm happy California didn't prove both racist and homophobic.

I'm mostly sad for the people that voted yes.
Queers are already used to living without legal protections for their partnerships, but these people will always be insecure about themselves, no matter what laws are on the books.
i want you to post something new to your blog so i stop feeling like this last entry's topic is the reason you stopped.
